Built in 1958, by the Blount Marine Corporation of Warren, Rhode Island (hull #45) as the Bethtug I for the Bethlehem Steel Company of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

In 1997, the tug was acquired by the Kosnac Floating Derrick Corporation of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Kraken.

In 2010, she was acquired by Ken's Booming and Boat Services Incorporated of Bayonne, New Jersey. Where the tug was renamed as the First Point.

In 2013, Ken's Booming and Boat Services Incorporated renamed the tug as the Bergen Point.

Powered by two, Detroit 6-110 diesel engines. With an Allison 4.5-1 transmission, turning two, 50(in) by 38(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 600 horsepower.
