In 1989, the tug was acquired by the Stevens Towing Company Incorporated of Yonges Island, South Carolina. Where she was renamed as the Island Trader.

Powered by two, GM 12V-71 Diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug, rated at. 800 horsepower.
