Built in 1972 by Zigler Shipyard Incorporated of Jennings, Louisiana (hull #221) as the West Cameron for the Superior Oil Company of Houston, Texas.

She was later acquired by the Wasser and Winters Company of Longview, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as Lori Ann.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Boyer Towing Incorporated of Ketchikan, Alaska, where she was renamed as Sonja H.
