Built in 1973, by the Dravo Corporation of Neville Island, Pennsylvania (hull #5851) as the Phyllis for the Alter Barge Line Incorporated of Wynne, Arkansas.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Marquette Transportation Company of Jefferson, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the City of Cassville.

Powered by two, Tier II compliant, EMD 12-710G7C diesel engines. With Lufkin reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.343:1. Turning two, 108(in) by 113.75(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 6,140 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, Cummins 6CTA8.3D generator sets. The tug's capacities are 65,103 gallons of fuel, and 1,499 gallons of lube oil.
