Built in 1975, by the Houma Shipbuilding Corporation of Houma, Louisiana (hull #57) as the Miss Yvette for the Modern Continental Construction Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In 2009, the tug was acquired by the Hallam Marine Construction Company of Bourne, Massachusetts. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2011, she was acquired by Sterling Equipment Incorporated of Quincy, Massachusetts. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2014, Sterling Equipment Incorporated outfitted the tug with an upper wheelhouse.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA-19 diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
