Built in 1981, by Turn Ship Limited of Coden, Alabama (hull #7) as the George Burrows for Spearin Preston and Burrows Incorporated of Staten Island, New York.

In 2006, the tug was acquired by Ireland Marine Transportation Incorporated of Norfolk, Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Goose Creek.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 900 horsepower.
