Built in 1980, by the Orange Shipbuilding Company of Orange, Texas (hull #830) as the Lilla Palmer for the Palmer Barge Line Incorporated of Nederland, Texas.

In 1987, the tug was acquired by the Elberth and Sons Towing and Transportation Company of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 1992, she was acquired by Warren George Incorporated of Jersey City, New Jersey. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by Central Boat Rentals Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Juanita.

Powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turing two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
