Built in 1967 by Colberg Boat Works Incorporated of Stockton, California as the Napa River (hull #766-6) for the Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California.

In 2004, she was acquired by Jerico Products Incorporated of Petaluma, California. Where the tug was renamed as the Petaluma.

In 2006, Jerico Products Incorporated became Lind Marine Incorporated of Petaluma, California. Where the tug was renamed as the Barbara Lind.

Powered by two, Tier III compliant, Cummins QSK-19 diesel engines. Turning two, 65(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles, with flanking rudders. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,320 horsepower.
