Built in 2006, by Hope Services Incorporated of DuLac, Louisiana (hull #157) as the Bolivar Point for Higman Barge Lines Incorporated Houston, Texas.

In 2018, Higman Barge Lines Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2020, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houston, Texas.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA38-M0 diesel engines. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
