Built in 2006, by Hope Services Incorporated of DuLac, Louisiana (hull #157) as the Bolivar Point for Higman Barge Lines Incorporated Houston, Texas.
In 2018, Higman Barge Lines Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2020, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houston, Texas.
In 2022, she was placed back into active service.
Powered by two, Cummins KTA38-M0 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.18:1. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
