Built in 2019, by Washburn and Doughty Associates of East Boothbay, Maine (hull #129) as the Eileen McAllister for the McAllister Towing and Transportation Company of New York, New York.
The tug is named for Eileen McAllister Donovan, a great granddaughter of Captain James McAllister who founded the McAllister Brothers Towing Company in 1864.
Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, Tier IV complaint, Caterpillar 3516E diesel engines. With Schottel SRP 490 z-drives, she is a twin screw tractor tug rated at 6,770 horsepower.
The tug is outfitted with a full engine room monitoring system that includes remote monitoring capability at helm, as well as engine room and deck cameras with wheelhouse display.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW, Marathon 363PSL1607-1E generator sets. Driven by two, Tier IV compliant, John Deere 4045AFM85Ed diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 40,402 gallons of fuel, 1,151 gallons of lube oil, 433 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 14,056 gallons of ballast water.
The towing equipment consists of one, 75 horsepower, full render / recover, class II, Markey DEPCF-52 escort winch mounted on her bow. Outfitted with 800(ft) of 10(in) Amsteel Blue line. And, one Markey DEPC-42 hawser winch mounted on her stern. Outfitted with 450(ft) of 2.25(in) Amstel Blue line.
She is outfitted with one, FFS fire monitor with 6,000 Gallon Per Minute foam injection capability. Driven by one, Caterpillar C18 fire pump rated at 6,000 Gallons Per Minute.
