Built in 2010, by Fitzgerald Marine Fabrication of Fairhaven, Massachusetts (hull #10) as the Katahdin for SPS New England Incorporated of Salisbury, Massachusetts.

Powered by two, Tier II compliant John Deere diesel engines. With ZF reduction gears, at a ratio of 4:1. Turning two, 40(in), four bladed, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 750 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, Tier III compliant, 5kW Northern Lights generator sets. The tug's capacities are 700 gallons of fuel. The towing equipment consists of two, hydraulic push winches.
