Built in 1914, by the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, Ohio (hull #31) as the Racine for the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, Ohio.

In 1950, the tug was acquired by the McNamara Construction Company of Newfoundland, Canada. Where the tug was renamed as the Douglas Reid.

Her current and or final disposition is unknown, she was a single screw tug.
