Built in 1951, by Burton Shipyard Incorporated of Port Arthur, Texas as the Susan G. for Guidry and Savoie Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 1951, the managing and operation of the tug was contracted to United Tugs Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 1982, Guidry and Savoie Incorporated became Central Gulf Towing Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

The tug is no longer listed in documentation. Her current, and or final disposition is unknown.

She was powered by two, GM 8V-92 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.5:1. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 800 horsepower.
