Built in 1968, by Jeffboat Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hull #2018) as the National Flag for National Marine Service Incorporated of St. Louis, Missouri.

In 1985, the tug was acquired by Compass Marine Services Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Compass Flag.

In 1990, she was acquired by Southern Marine Service Incorporated of Port Allen, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name. Where the tug was operated by Compass Marine Services Incorporated New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 1992, the tug was returned to Southern Marine Service Incorporated of Port Allen, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Kenny Faughn.

In 1998, she was acquired by American Commercial Barge Line Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2004, the tug was acquired by Langenfelder Marine Incorporated of Stevensville, Maryland. Where she was renamed as the Rogue Island.

In 2011, she was acquired by Corman Marine Construction Incorporated of Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Where the tug was renamed as the Georgetown.

Powered by two, Caterpillar D379TA diesel engines. With Caterpillar reduction gears, at ratio of 4.83:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,020 horsepower.
