Built in 1953, by the Roamer Boat Company of Holland, Michigan (hull #320) as the C-1513 for the United States Navy.
The tug was later acquired by the Norfolk Dredging Company of Chesapeake, Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Palmyra.
She is a single screw tug, rated at 320 horsepower.
