Built in 2020 by Conrad Shipyard of Amelia Louisiana (Hull # C-1224) as the H Merritt "Heavy" Lane Jr for the Canal Barge Company Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Powered by two, Tier IV compliant, EMD 12ME23B diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF 4545H reverse reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.429:1. Turning two, four bladed, 110(in) by 113(in), fixed pitch propellers, in Kort nozzles, with flanking rudders. For a rated 6,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 170kW Cummins QSB7-DM generator sets.

Her capacities are 132,00 gallons of fuel oil, 644 gallons of lube oil, 2,400 gallons of waste oil, 21,400 gallons of water, 2,000 gallons of oily water, 27,300 gallons of ballast, 15,000 gallons of urea, 1,400 gallons of lube oil, and 950 gallons of gear oil.

Her towing gear consists of two, 60 ton, double drum, Wintech winches, and a 5 ton, Wintech electric capstan, mounted on the bow. And two, 60 ton, double drum, Wintech winches, mounted outboard of the deckhouse.
