Built in 1980 by Modern Marine Power Incorporated at Houma, Louisiana (hull #36) as the CEPCO II for the Cajun Electric Power Cooperative of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In 2005, the tug was acquired by Turn Services Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Omaha.

Powered by two GM 12V-149 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat rated as 1,350 horsepower.
