Built in 1965, by the Greenville Shipbuilding Corporation of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #9) as the Alice Parker for Parker Towing Incorporated of Tucaloosa, Alabama.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Timberland Marine Equipment Company of Mobile, Alabama. Where she was renamed as the Brooke Lauren.

In 2001, she was acquired by Imperial Towing Incorporated of Imperial, Pennsylvania. Where the tug was renamed as the Brenda Sue.

In 2014, the tug was acquired by the Johnson Brothers Corporation of Lithia, Florida. Where she retained her name.

In 2019, she was acquired by Chester J. Marine LLC. of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Cecile A. Fitch.

Powered by two, GM 12-567 diesel engines with Falk reduction gears at a ratio of 2.4:1. She is a twin screw towboat rated at 1,800 horsepower.
