Built in 1943 by Ira S. Bushey and Sons at Brooklyn, New York as the YTB-272 "Iwana" for the United States Navy. Upon delivery, the tug was allocated to the 1st Naval District.

The tug was later redesignated as YTM-272 "Iwana."

In 1974, the tug was acquired by the Pioneer Towing Company of Kenmore, Washington. Where she was renamed as the George R.

The Pioneer Towing Company later renamed the tug as the Polar Crusader.

In 1977, she was acquired by the Dunlap Towing Company of La Conner, Washington. Where tug tug was renamed as the Skagit Chief.

The tug was later retired and sold, then became a liveaboard at St. Helens, Oregon.

In 2020, the tug was renamed as the Tuggy Time.
