Built in 1967, by Main Iron Works of Incorporated Houma, Louisiana (hull #167) as the Gulf Hustler for Gulf Mississippi Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1978, Gulf Mississippi Marine Incorporated became Gulf Fleet Marine Incorporated. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1979, the tug was acquired by Reinauer Transportation Companies of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Janice Ann Reinauer.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by Runner Marine Limited. A division of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited of Lagos, Nigeria. Where the tug was renamed as the Charly.

She was powered by two, Detroit Diesel 16v-149-t diesel engines. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 2,200 horsepower.
