LT - 805 USAV MG WINFIELD SCOTT

Built in 1994, by Moss Point Marine Incorporated in Escatawpa, Mississippi as the LT-805 (USAV MG Winfield Scott) for the United States Army.

Her keel was Laid down at Robert E. Derecktor Shipyard in Middletown, Rhode Island and her hull was launched in 1994. The tug was completed by Halter Marine Services Incorporated of Moss Point, Mississippi.

The tug was delivered to the United States Quartermaster Corps on September 30th, 1994. And, was assigned to the United States Army, 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

In 2021, the tug was acquired by Interlake Maritime Services of Ludington, Michigan. Where she was renamed as the LT-805.

In 2022, she was placed in "laid up" status at Ludington, Michigan.

Powered by two, EMD 12-645 FM8 diesel engines. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 5,100 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, Caterpillar 300 kW generator sets. With an additional 65 kW, emergency, Caterpillar generator set.

The towing Towing equipment consists of two, single drum, Almon Johnson 333, towing winches.
