Built in 1975, by Greenville Shipbuilding Corporation of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #) as the Lucille.

She was later acquired by the McAlister Construction Company of Memphis, Tennessee, where she was renamed as the Joe McAlister.

She was acquired by the Marathon Petroleum Corporation of Findlay, Ohio, where she was renamed as the Marathon.

She was acquired by the Yazoo River Towing Incorporated of Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she was renamed as the Jinx P. Smith.

In 2023, the tug was acquired by Cooper Marine and Timberlands Corporation of Mobile, Alabama. Where she was renamed as the Crimson White II.

Powered by two EMD 12-645E7 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.5:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 4,600 horsepower.
