Named for Ryan Hayes, Gnots Reserve's port engineer.

The tug's electrical service is provided by two John Deere 4045T 65 kW generators.

Her towing gear consists of two Wintech 40 ton deck winches, mounted on the bow, and one Wintech 40 ton deck winch mounted on the fleet deck.
