Named for Gnots Reserve president Dan Wise's father-in-law, who was part of the team that founded Gnots Reserve.

Powered by two, Tier III Cummins QSK 19-M diesel engines. With Twin Disc 5222 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.1:1. Turning two, 68(in) by 53(in), fixed pitch propellers. For a rated 1,320 horsepower.

The tug's electrical service is provided by two John Deere 65 kW generators. The tug's capacities are 18,900 gallons of fuel and 6,370 gallons of potable water.

Her towing gear consists of two Wintech 40 ton deck winches, mounted on the bow, and one Wintech 40 ton deck winch mounted on the fleet deck.
