Built in 1955, by Gunderson Brothers Engineering of Portland, Oregon as the Wildcat for the Smith Tug and Barge Company of Rainier, Oregon.

In 1977, the Smith Tug and Barge Company was acquired by the Knappton Towboat Company of Astoria, Oregon. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2004, the tug was acquired by Westar Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California. Where she retained her name.

In 2024, she was acquired by the Curtin Maritime Corporation of Long Beach, California. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2024, the tug was renamed as the Adina C.

Powered by two, Cummins N14M diesel engines. Turning two, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 800 horsepower.
