In 1984, the tug was acquired by Deloach Marine Service Incorporated of Port Allen, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Gene Huffty.
In 1988, she was acquired by the American Commercial Barge Line Company of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where the tug retained her name.
In 1991, the tug was acquired by Deloach Marine Service Incorporated of Port Allen, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 2007, she was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2019, the tug was acquired by Wepfer Marine Incorporated of Memphis, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Lexie Johnston.
Repowered in 2004, she is driven by two Caterpillar 3412 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 7:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,400 horsepower.
