Built in 1970, by the Houma Shipbuilding Company of Houma, Louisiana (hull #34) as the Noema for the Arthur-Smith Corporation of of Houston, Texas.

In 2000, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2004, the tug was acquired by Deloach Marine Service Incorporated of Port Allen, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Rowena.

In 2007, she was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2022, the tug went out of documentation. Her current, and or final disposition is unknown. She was powered by two, GM 12V-71N diesel engines. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
