Built in 1980, by Crumpler's Shipbuilding Company of Bridge City, Texas (hull #827) as the Joanne Dunagin for Transload and Transport Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana.
In 1985, the tug sank. However, she was salvaged and was acquired by Romen Marine Incorporated of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Paris Nicole.
In 1988, she was acquired by the Warrior River Towing Company Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama. Where the tug was renamed as the Julius W.
In 1991, the tug was acquired by Midland Enterprises Incorporated of Cincinnati, Ohio. Where she retained her name.
In 1992, Midland Enterprises Incorporated renamed the tug as the Inland Star.
In 2002, the tug was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she retained her name.
Powered by two, Cummins KTA19-M3 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,000 horsepower.
