Built in 2004, by Chucks Boat and Drive Company of Longview, Washington (hull #CDDNA269C403L7352) as a Barrier Boat for the United States Navy.

The design was conceived for the commercial logging industry, primarily for moving and towing of log floats.

In 2024, the tug was acquired by the Curtin Maritime Corporation of Long Beach, California. Where she was renamed as the Navy Bean.

Powered by a single, Cummins 6BTA diesel engine with a ZF reduction gear, at a ratio of 7:1. Turning a single fixed pitch porpeller, mounted in a 36(in), steerable kort nozzle. She is a single screw tug, rated at 260 horsepower.
