KENLEY ROSE

Built in 1979, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #341) as the La Cherie for Louisiana International Marine Incorporated of Gretna, Louisiana.

In 1982, Louisiana International Marine Incorporated renamed the tug as the La Cheval.

In 2026, the tug was Gulf Coast Tugs Incorporated of LaRose, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Kenley Rose.

Powered by two, EMD 12-645-E6 diesel engines. With Reintjes reduction gears, at a ratio of 5:1. Turning two, 102(in) by 120(in) fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical power is provided by two, 75kW generator sets, driven by two Detroit Diesel 6-71 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 99,712 gallons of fuel, 1,230 gallons of lube oil, and 20,000 gallons of water.

The towing equipment consists of an INTERcon double drum 200CD towing winch. Outfitted with 2000(ft) of 2(in) towing wire on the primary towing drum. And, 2000(ft) of 2(in) towing wire on the secondary drum.
