
Built in 1992, by VT Halter Marine Incorporated of Escatawpa, Mississippi (hull #116) as the Barbara E. Bouchard for the Bouchard Transportation Company of Melville, New York.
In 2013, the tug was outfitted with an INTERcon coupler system. Although the tug was fitted with a coupler system. Her traditional towing equipment was retained to allow for traditional towing.
In 2020, she was placed out of active service and was "laid up" at Corpus Christi, Texas.
In 2021, the tug was acquired by JMB Shipping Operations of Los Angeles, California. Where she retained her name.
In 2021, she was acquired by Dann Marine Towing Company of Chesapeake City, Maryland. Where the tug was renamed as the Turquoise Coast.
Powered by two, EMD 16-645-F7B diesel engines. Turning two, bronze, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 6,140 horsepower.
The tug's capacities are 8,453 gallons of potable water, and 162,202 gallons of fuel.
