CAPTAIN SPIDER FAVRE

Built in 1962, by Parker Brothers Shipyard Incorporated of Houston, Texas (hull #33) as the Yankton for SCNO Barge Lines Incorporated of St. Louis, Missouri.

In 1987, the tug was acquired by Pennsylvania Barge Lines Incorporated of West Homestead, Pennsylvania. Where she retained her name.

In 1991, she was acquired by the Harbour Equipment Company of Slidell, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name. And the tug was reconfigured from a towboat configuration to a model bow configuration.

In 1994, the tug was acquired by the Gulfport Towing Company Incorporated of Gulfport, Mississippi. Where she was renamed as the Capt. Spider Favre.

In 2004, she was acquired by the E.N. Bisso and Son Company of Metairie, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2017, the tug was acquired by Lower River Ship Service LLC. of Kenner, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Rachel Ann.

Repowered in 1981, with two, GM 12-645E2 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears at a ratio of 3:1. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,800 horsepower.
