VINTON CROSBY (1975)

Built in 1975, by Bobben Fabricators Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana (hull #3) as the N. Joseph Guidry for the Guidry Brothers Towing Company of Galliano, Louisiana.

In 2002, the tug was acquired by Golden Lane Marine Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Vinton Crosby.

In 2015, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houma, Louisiana.

Powered by two, EMD 12-645 E7B, turbo charged, diesel engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She was a twin screw tug, rated 4,200 horsepower.

Her electrical service was provided by two 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities were 80,572 gallons of fuel.

The towing equipment consists of a Smatco DPDT 170, double drum, anchor towing winch.
