Built in 1982, by Matton Shipyard of Cohes, New York (hull #345) as the Mary Turecamo for the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York.

In 1998, the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation was acquired by the Moran Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, EMD 16-645-E6 diesel engines. With Falk 2435 reverse, reduction gears. Turning two Coolidge, three bladed, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 4,300 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two 95kW generator sets, with a third 95kW generator set as an axillary. She has a fuel capacity of 57,300 gallons.

The tug's towing gear consists of an Almon Johnson 229 towing winch. And, a New England Trawler X1524 electro hydraulic capstan.
