Built in 1941, by Ira S. Bushey and Sons of Brooklyn, New York (hull #493) as the Crusader II for Ira S. Bushey and Sons Incorporated of Brooklyn, New York.

In 1958, the tug was acquired by the Taylor and Anderson Marine Towing Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Where she was renamed as the Devon.

In 1988, the Taylor and Anderson Marine Towing Company was acquired by the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1998, the Turecamo Coastal and Harbor Towing Corporation was acquired by the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2000, the tug was scrapped in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a single screw tug, rated at 1,600 horsepower.
