Built in 1973, by the Southern Shipbuilding Corporation of Slidell, Louisiana (hull #105) as the Mobil 2 for the Mobil Oil Corporation of New York, New York.

In 1991, in the wake of the Exxon Valdez incident. In an effort to remove the oil company's physical names from the vessel's names. The Mobil Oil Corporation renamed the tug as the Tachee.

In 1999, the Exxon Oil Company merged with the Mobil Oil Corporation to form the ExxonMobil Corporation of Irving, Texas. The SeaRiver Maritime Company continued to operate as a subsidy of the ExxonMobil Corporation. Where the tug was renamed as the S/R Albany.

In 2001, the tug was acquired by the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated of East Brunswick, New Jersey. Where the tug was renamed as the Baltic Sea.

In 2010, she was acquired by Pheranzy Gas Limited of Lagos, Nigeria. Where the tug was renamed as the Ugonwaafor 1.

She was powered by two, EMD 12-645-E2 diesel engines. With Lufkin RS-2524 reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.973:1. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service was provided by two, 75kW Delco/DD 4-71 generator sets. The tug's capacities where 48,538 gallons of fuel.

The tug's towing gear consisted of a INTERcon, SD-175, single drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 1,800(ft) of 1.75(in) towing wire. Driven by a single, DD 6-71 hydraulic engine.
