Built in 1970, by Peterson Builders of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin (hull #YTB 810) as the YTB-810 (Anoka) for the United States Navy.
A Natick class district harbor tug. Her keel was laid down on October 5th, 1970, and the tug was launched on April 15th, 1971. She was delivered to the United States Navy on August 31st, 1971. And, placed in service to at the 5th Naval District at Norfolk, Virginia.

In 2015, she was acquired by the Great Lakes Towing Company of Cleveland, Ohio. Where the tug was renamed as the Erie.
She is a single screw tug, rated at 2,400 horsepower.
