Built in 1991, by Washburn and Doughty Associates of East Boothbay, Maine (hull #39) as the Alice Winslow for Winslow Marine Incorporated of Southport, Maine.
She was the first tugboat designed, and constructed by Washburn and Doughty Associates of East Boothbay, Maine. Prior to the construction of the Alice Winslow, the yard primarily constructed fishing vessels.
In 2012, the tug was acquired by the McAllister Towing and Transportation Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Shannon McAllister.
Powered by two, Alco 251V12 diesel engines. Turning two, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,200 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 65kW, 208V, John Deere 4045 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 20,000 gallons of fuel.
