Built in 1981, by Bayou Black Shipyard Incorporated of Gibson, Louisiana (hull #14) as the Miss Robin for the North Bank Towing Company of Berwick, Louisiana.

In 2008, the tug was acquired by Odyssea Vessels Incorporated of Berwick, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2008, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Crosby Mariner.

In 2020, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houma, Louisiana.

In December of 2025, she was acquired by a partnership between Cheramie Holdings LLC. of Galliano, Louisiana and Millennium Marine LLC. of Lafayette, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Ella C. Crochet.

From December 2025 to September 2026 the tug underwent a nine month intensive rebuilding, including steel work, machinery, underwater gear, and deck machinery at Allied Shipyard in Larose, Louisiana.

The tug was returned into service in late September 2026 and is operated by Trinity Tugs LLC. of Galliano, Louisiana

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3412 TA diesel engines. with Twin Disc MG 540 reduction gears at a ratio of 7:1. Turning two, 72(in) by 88(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin-screw tug, rated 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, Yanmar LPI-Y-40 40KW Generator sets. The tug's capacities are 30,000 gallons of fuel oil, 400 gallons of lube oil, and 7,500 gallons of potable water.

The tug's towing machine was remanufactured, it now consists of an Amcon 270, double drum, "waterfall" towing winch. Outfitted with 1,800(ft) of 1-3/8(in) wire.
