JACQUELINE MONTEIRO

Built in 1971, by LaRose Shipyard Incorporated of LaRose, Louisiana (hull #17) as the Soaring Eagle for Double Eagle Marine Incorporated of New Iberia, Louisiana.

In 1996, the tug was acquired by Seabreeze Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Jacqueline Monteiro.

In 2004, she was acquired by the Delta Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Delta Duck.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2015, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Powered by two, GM V1271 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turning two, 60(in) by 46(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 900 horsepower.

Her electrical service was provided by two 30kW generator sets. Driven by two, GM 3-71 diesel engines. The tug's capacities were 16,000 gallons of fuel oil, 150 gallons of lube oil, and 2,200 gallons of potable water.

The towing equipment consisted of a single drum, Parker LR250 towing winch.
