Built in 1977, by the Chromalloy American Corporation of Houston, Texas (hull #113) as the Titan for the Sabine Transportation Company of Port Arthur, Texas. A subsidy of the Chromalloy American Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri.

In 1980, the Chromalloy American Corporation was acquired by the Sequa Corporation of New York. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1992, the former assets of the Sabine Transportation Company where acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1996, she was acquired by Hvide Marine Incorporated of Tampa, Florida. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2000, Hvide Marine Incorporated was acquired by SeaBulk Towing Services Incorporated of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2023, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Port Arthur, Texas.

Powered by two, EMD 16-645-E2 diesel engines. With reduction gears, at a 2.5:1 ratio. Turning two, four bladed, 86(in) by 56(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,900 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 60kW generator sets. Driven by two, Detroit Diesel 6-71N diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 40,000 gallons of fuel oil, 700 gallons of lube and hydraulic oil, and 14,700 gallons of potable water.
