Built in 1952, by National Steel and Shipbuilding of San Diego, California (hull #LT 2078) as the LT 2078 for the United States Army.
The tug was later transferred to the United States Navy where she was re designated as the YT 748.
The tug was returned to the United States Army in the late 1980's where she was then acquired by Hvide Marine of Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she was renamed as the Delaware.
In 1989, the tug was acquired by DBA Mobile Bay Towing, where she was rebuilt and renamed as the Mobile Point.
Eventually, the tug was acquired by SeaBulk Towing Services of Tampa, Florida where she retained her name.
The tug was then acquired by True North Marine of Pass Christian, Mississippi, where she was renamed as the Lesli M.
In 2012, the tug was acquired by Stamford Services, Incorporated a subsidiary of Fournier Towing and Ship Service of Belfast, Maine. Where she was renamed as the Taurus.
Powered by two GM EMD 20-645 diesel engines, with two z-drives mounted aft, and an additional 600 horsepower retractable z-drive mounted forward rated at 600 horsepower. The tug's main propulsion is rated at 4,000 horsepower.
