MIKIALA II

Built in 1977, by Main Iron Works of Houma, Louisiana (hull #322) as the Mikiala for the Hawaiian Tug and Barge Company of Honolulu, Hawaii. A division of the Young Brothers Company of Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 1991, the Hawaiian Tug and Barge Company renamed the tug as the Mikiala II.

In 2009, the tug was transferred to the Young Brothers Company of Honolulu, Hawaii. Where she retained her name.

In 2013, the Hawaiian Tug and Barge Company was acquired by Foss Marine Holdings of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name. The tug operates under the company's subsidy, the Young Brothers Company of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, Caterpillar 3512B diesel engines. With Rolls Royce 900H z drives. For a rated 3,300 horsepower.

Her deck equipment consist of a Markey winch, mounted on the bow. Outfitted with 600(ft) of 10(in) nylon line, with a 60(in) by 8(in) pendant.
