Built in 1972, by Houma Shipbuilding Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana as the Chemical Express.

The tug was later acquired by the Brix Maritime Company of Astoria, Oregon. Where she was renamed as the Lewiston.

In 1993, the Brix Maritime Company was acquired by the Foss Maritime Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2010, the tug was acquired by Harley Marine Services Incorporated of Seattle, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Willamette Champion.

In 2019, she was acquired by the Shaver Transportation Company of Portland, Oregon. Where the tug was renamed as the Randy S.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG-540 reduction gears, at a ratio of 6.18:1. Turning two, 76(in) by 63(in), four bladed, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. For a 2,350 horsepower.

The tug's capacities are 30,800 gallons of fuel, 5,500 gallons of water, 300 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 400 gallons of lube oil.

Her deck equipment consists of two, Beebee 64LRC/64RRC, deck winches, mounted on her bow.
