Built in 2012, by the Signet Maritime Corporation of Pascagoula, Mississippi (hull #105) as the Signet Weatherly for the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas.

The tug was designed by the Naval Architecture form Robert Allen Limited of Vancouver, British Columbia. For the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas.

Powered by two, MTU 16V4000 M60 diesel engines. With Niigata z-peller ZP31 z-drives. With Niigata Model RG180K reduction gears. Turning two, 90.6(in) by 85.4(in) four bladed Nibral propellers. For a rated 6,136 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two 99kW/60Hz/480V John Deere 6068TFM76 generators. The tug's capacities are 92,000 gallons of fuel, 3,760 gallons of potable water, 700 gallons of lube oil storage, 200 gallons hydraulic oil storage, 360 gallons of dirty oil storage, and 21,050 gallons of ballast.

The towing equipment consists of an electric, 50 horsepower Markey Model DEPCF-48 winch mounted on the bow. Outfitted with 600(ft) of 2.75(in) Samson Saturn-12 HMPE hawser. And, on the stern a double drum, electric, 100 horsepower Markey TESD-32 winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 2.25(in) hawser on each drum.

Her firefighting equipment consists of a 250 by 350 FFS SFP Pump, driven by a John Deere Model 6135SFM75 diesel engine. Feeding a remote controlled FFS 1200(lb) monitor with a 5,300(gpm) flow, and 400(ft) range.
