SIGNET COURAGEOUS (1975)

Built in 1975, by Marico Marine Industries of Morgan City, Louisiana (hull #010) as the Mary Belcher for Belcher Towing of Miami, Florida.

In 1990, the Belcher Towing Company was acquired by the Coastal Tug and Barge Company of Miami, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Coastal Dade.

In 1995, the Coastal Tug and Barge Company renamed the tug as the Coastal Butucu.

In 2006, the tug was acquired by the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Signet Courageous.

In 2018, she was acquired by the Borinken Towing and Salvage Company of St. Croix in U.S. British Virgin Islands. Where the tug was renamed as the Dani.

Powered by two, EMD 12-645-E2 diesel engines, with Falk 1230MRD-C reduction gears. Turning two 92(in) by 68(in) four bladed propellers. For a rated 3,900 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. Driven by two Detroit Diesel 6-71 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 26,000 gallons of fuel, 4,000 gallons of potable water, and 400 gallons of lube oil.

The towing equipment consists of a 40 horsepower, electric Bensen winch. Outfitted with 300(ft) of 2.25(in) Samson Quantum-8H MPE hawser.
