Built in 1997, by the Sun Towing Company of Berwick, Louisiana as the Miss Michelle Rene for the Sun Towing Company of Morgan City, Louisiana.

In 2007, the tug was acquired by Basin Offshore Incorporated of Morgan City, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Basin Courage.

In 2014, she was acquired by the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Signet Freedom.

In 2020, the tug was acquired by the Beyel Brothers Company of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Where the tug was renamed as the Ryker Beyel.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA-19M3 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG-5202DC reduction gears. Turning two, 60.5(in) by 64(in) four bladed, stainless steel, Aqualloy propellers. For a rated 1,280 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW generator sets. Driven by two, John Deere 4045 DFM diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 16,000 gallons of fuel, 5,000 gallons of potable water, 60 gallons of lube oil, and 60 gallons of gear oil.

The towing equipment includes two, Patterson WWP40E winches, outfitted with 130(ft) of 1.5(in) Amsteel Blue HMPE hawser.
