Built in 1966, by McDermott Shipyard Incorporated of Amelia, Louisiana (hull #128) as the El Reno Grande for Tidewater Marine Services Incorporated New Orleans, Louisiana.

In 2001, the tug was later acquired by an individual named Milt Merritt of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2001, she went out of documentation. Her current, and or final disposition is unknown. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
