GREGG McALLISTER

Built in 2008, by Eastern Shipbuilding Group of Panama City, Florida (hull #958) as the Gregg McAllister for the McAllister Towing and Transportation Company of New York, New York.

The Gregg McAllister as well as the Reid McAllister. Were designed to be shorter in length, then their predecessors. This was done as to allow the tugs access to smaller, and narrower berths. While offering optimal maneuverability.

Powered by two, Tier II compliant, Caterpillar 3516C diesel engines. With Schottel SRP 1012FP z-drives. She is a twin screw tractor tug, rated at 4,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, Tier II compliant, 99kW, John Deere 6068 TMGK generator sets. The tug's capacities are 14,000 gallons of fuel oil, 500 gallons of lube oil, and 1,500 gallons of potable water.

The tug is outfitted with remote control, start, and stop capabilities. As well as a full engine room monitoring system, and remote monitoring capability at the helm station. Her fire fighting capabilities include, two fire stations rated at 120 Gallons Per Minute.

The towing gear consists of a JonRie 230 InterTech hydraulic winch, mounted on the bow. Equipped with 350(ft) of 2(in) Quantum 12 Synthetic Rope.
