Built in 1857, by Pusey and Jones of Wilmington, Delaware (hull #12) as the J.L. Pusey for Pusey and Jones Company of Wilmington, Delaware.
The tug was later acquired by McAllister Brothers Towing of New York, New York. Where the tug retained her name.
In 1907, the tug was abandoned. She was a single screw, steam driven tug. Rated at 75 horsepower.
